About this role:

As part of Gartner’s Marketing and Communication practice, you will help digital marketing and commerce leaders in the Retail and Travel & Hospitality (T&H) industry achieve their strategic objectives and improve their digital businesses.

What you'll do:

  • Conduct analysis and write research to represent thought leadership and advise Retail and T&H marketing leaders on best practices, including in site and app, digital marketing, social media, and consumer and industry trends
  • Deliver high quality actionable advice through video-based and face-to-face presentations and discussions with clients
  • Remain ahead of the curve on developments and issues within these specified areas as well as applicable adjacent areas 
  • What you'll need:

  • 5-10 years subject matter expertise in digital marketing, personalization, loyalty and commerce strategies, and consumer insights for Retail and T&H brands, including Luxury, mono- and multi-line retail 
  • Knowledge of the brand landscape in your industries-- leading brands and enterprises, rising leaders, category-specific leaders, and best-in-class executions
  • Strong understanding of industry and consumer dynamics and a clearly articulated point of view on key opportunities and risks for Retail and T&H marketing leaders
  • Experience supporting Loyalty and/or Customer Retention programs and initiatives
  • A clear, demonstrable understanding of the role of site and app experiences, content, paid and organic search, advertising, email, and social media platforms in targeting consumers, driving traffic, and increasing conversion and engagement
  • Understanding of how to build a digital marketing and commerce roadmap, how to refine or advance an existing strategy, and how brands are taking advantage of emerging trends
  • Experience with CX, UX, and/or Content Management, agnostic of industry, is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills, business and financial acumen
  • Bachelor's or equivalent experience, Master's degree preferred
  • Ability to conduct occasional travel, regionally and globally
