Job Summary
The Alternate Transportation Function is responsible for managing lost costs associated to 1st party transportation expense and 3rd party loss of use claims to ensure Allstate pays the right amount on each claim. The unit will handle alternate transportation escalations and work directly with the insured, claimant, repair shop, and alternate transportation vendor to resolve any issues.
Candidates should be located in PST/MST.
The Alternate Transportation Analyst III will play a vital role to ensure we deliver on our promise to help restore people's lives after they experience a loss. The individual will be responsible for managing and investigating alternate transportation escalations to ensure we maintain compliance applicable laws and regulations, properly managing loss costs for the company, and provide exceptional customer experience. They will identify current issues countrywide and support leadership as they work through current barriers that impact the duration of alternate transportation. The individual will work directly with all the offices across the country along with building relationships with our alternate transportation vendor. They will be challenged to manage multiple cases simultaneously, and document key activity for each claim. They will be a part of a virtual team and their ability to be self-motivated is imperative to this position. They will deliver compassionate service that is fast, fair, and easy, to ensure customer retention.
Customer Service
Compassionately asks effective questions and anticipates future needs based on past transactions while handling inquiry calls to produce a positive customer experience Assist alternate transportation vendor in obtaining information for alternate transportation management Simplifies difficult processes/concepts and makes recommendations for change based on customer and business partner feedback Responds positively and persuasively to opposing views voiced by others Loss Management/Investigation
Assesses one's own work, applying knowledge to prioritize work and to investigate, evaluate and negotiate customer solutions to achieve fair and equitable settlement Communicates the pros and cons of an action, using logical arguments, making recommendations to influence fair settlements Expands skill within own work area to assess the accuracy of detailed information. Identify underlying issues to consider option for managing costs and supporting Allstate's industry-leading operational standards Applies understanding of regulatory requirements and standard process for claim handling Process Exeuction
Collaborates with and influences others to drive results in a fast paced environment Use compassionate communication across all Claims Service Areas Assess the accuracy of detailed payment invoices and applies guidelines validating proper payments are issued Provide basic technical guidance or influences the work of others and acts as a contact for less experienced employees Provides direction to processors and supports management
Job Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree Preferred 1- 2 years of experience in a Body Shop environment or customer service in a claim handling environment Ability to write auto estimates a plus Applies general knowledge of claim process, policies, and procedures to include negotiation and settlement Strong written, verbal skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Strong organization skills and ability to work independently Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
