Responsible for coordinating strategy and its execution at local, regional and global levels with business stakeholders, the client (in alignment with the account Sourcing Director), operational and global shared services team members and executive sponsors.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDevelops, plans, organizes and implements national/regional contracting and procurement strategies and programs to increase operational efficiency and profitability.Develops standardized systems and controls for procurement including RFP documentation, work order management, purchase and change order systems, and supplier/contractor eligibility criteria.Ensures supplier meet compliance requirements including insurance coverage, financial health, validation of diversity status etc.Delivers management information, reporting, insight and analytics on supplier cost and performance.Communicates SC capability and performance to the client and identifies additional opportunity to grow our credibility and scope on the account.Prepares and maintain contracts with national/regional service providers in accordance with company standards.Develops and manages relationships with national/regional suppliers and contractors to ensure improved performance, innovation and value deliveryPromotes and leads the implementation of Procurement tools and technologies on the account in support of platform initiatives.Develops training programs and assists in training employees in company-wide procurement procedures.Other duties may be assignedSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESProvides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Experience of Manufacturing and Laboratory Quality and Compliance (GMP) in the Life Science industry is an advantage. Demonstrated experience in contract administration, contract negotiation, quality assurance, and P2P management; Experience in supplier governance and management and driving consistent year on year savings.CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSESC.P.M., C.P.S.M. or N.A.C.M. certifications or eligibility preferred.COMMUNICATION SKILLSStrong communication skills with the ability to influence and effectively manage stakeholder interests in a fast-paced/dynamic organization. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. The minimum salary for a strategic sourcing manager is $100,000.00 and the maximum salary for the position is $110,000.00. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
