What will you do?

  • Provides training to IES service and sales teams and extended functions within the division including marketing, customer care, and operations
  • Develop instructional material for sales/service teams
  • Works with translation services and teams to ensure training is customized by country/region.
  • Understands and interprets product and services roadmap and value offerings as well as channels and customer segments.
  • Develops communication, selling and negotiation skills in sales, services and customer teams
  • Assists and coordinates with marketing and sales operations departments to ensure training and development aligns to the strategy and strategic initiatives timeline
  • Ensures that the training aligns to AOP targets and ensures investments align to the plan
  • Plans, schedules and coordinates training schedule throughout the year
  • Teaches and instructs marketing trends and methods to sales/service teams.
  • Provides training in customer engagement, relationships and retention.
  • Provides training and drive teams in achieving hundred percent outcomes
  • Ensures alignment of company best practices, corporate standards and procedures
  • Supports sales performance processes and methods for evaluating performance
  • Stays current on market trends and the changing demands of the industry/environment
  • How will you get here?

    Education

  • Minimum educational requirement is an undergraduate degree; an MBA or equivalent consulting / working experience is strongly preferred, services background preferred
  • Experience

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in sales, training and development, preferably within the B2B environment
  • Experience working in a multinational company with proven ability to drive results in a matrixed management operating environment
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Evidence of excellent written and verbal communication skills, in particular preparing and delivering training at multiple levels through an organization
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple cultures globally
  • Preferable to have previous people leadership experience
  • Demonstrated track record of training a sales organization and developing training curriculum and content
  • Highly developed commercial and business acumen; an ability to recognize organizational opportunities
  • High energy level with ability to adopt and model the Thermo Fisher Scientific values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and Involvement
  • Comfort with strategy deployment tools and utilizing PPI, Lean, 6-sigma, or similar tools to drive operational and business improvements within a commercial organization
  • Able to travel up to 30%
