The Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) Team is looking for a talented, experienced Senior Project Manager based in NJ/NY/PA area. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the completion of multi sites technical projects on time, within budget and within scope. This role will oversee all aspects of a project from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have outstanding interpersonal skills, adjusting to changing priorities from various directives and will be able to communicate effectively. This position reports to the Director of Business Operations & PMO. In this role, you will be a key member of the GWS PMO team planning & managing a variety of projects including R&D Lab construction & relocation. You will maintain all aspects of project from planning to execution. You will be a leader for change and champion for change management. You will provide efficient move programs for projects and set-up for daily operations - solving a wide range of issues in a thoughtful, creative, and efficient manner. The ideal candidate should be detail oriented innovator & a strong communicator that can work independently at all levels of the company in a fast paced and sometimes ambiguous environment. Develop and manage projects from early concept stages through project completion Coordinate with administrative staff for proper documentation of the projects Manage contracts and change orders Work as a team member with the project engineer/coordinator towards the successful completion of projects Hard working, motivated individual with ability to organize and balance a multi-faceted workload in an efficient manner Self-starter with eagerness to manage broad range of project responsibilities A team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with personnel at all levels Is flexible and adaptable in a fluid, team-oriented culture Read, understand and interpret plans, schematics, blueprints, drawings, and technical manuals Work with GWS local leadership and Varian regional leaders to develop strategic plans for their requirements based on changing growth and market needs Partner with external teams to assure Varian standards are maintained and continuously refreshed with new trends and work practices Ensure local and regional cultural requirements and changes are included and addressed in projects Qualifications: 6+ years of experience in project management BS/MS in Mechanical/ Electrical/Civil Engineering preferred) Experience with project planning, managing cross functional teams and contractors Strong experience in technical analysis, change management and budget controls Computer skills: Outlook, Excel, Word and MS Project #LI-CORP1 To ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements in the U.S., including the federal COVID-19 vaccination mandate, all U.S. employees must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, subject to legally required and approved accommodations.
