Community Health Center, Inc. In addition, the organization has developed three wholly owned subsidiaries from the original pilot developments within the Weitzman Institute: the National Nurse Practitioner Residency and Fellowship Training Consortium (NNPRFTC), ConferMED, and the National Institute for Medical Assistant Advancement (NIMAA).

Research-Evaluation Associate, Weitzman Institute

Research and evaluation evidence is meaningful only when it helps answer strategic questions and is collected and interpreted in a timely fashion. Under general supervision of the Managing Director of Research & Evaluation, the Research-Evaluation Associate is primarily responsible for carrying out specific research and evaluation projects related to Weitzman's priority areas, including but not limited to: social determinants of health; workforce training and continuing education; key populations; and patient-centered care and experience. The Research-Evaluation Associate will be responsible for a range of tasks, depending on the nature of the project, and will support Weitzman staff to understand and improve systems of conducting and monitoring data collection. Associate may work closely with Weitzman's Education Program, which provides high-quality, interdisciplinary, and innovative continuing education opportunities for health professionals in FQHCs and other primary care practices.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand and translate client needs into feasible research and evaluation questions
  • Apply advanced critical thinking skills to develop evaluation and research plan timelines
  • Design and conduct systematic literature reviews
  • Coordinate implementation of research and evaluation plans
  • Develop interview scripts, survey questions, and other primary data collection instruments
  • Facilitate focus group sessions, key informant interviews, and other qualitative data collection
  • Support quantitative data collection such as survey administration and medical chart review
  • Obtain human subjects permissions from CHC's Institutional Review Board (IRB)
  • Track and regularly provide updates on progress of evaluation and research work plans
  • Create and manage databases and spreadsheets to ensure compliance and integrity of data
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data; triangulate findings for mixed-methods projects
  • Assist with grant report writing and organization of proposal submissions
  • Write technical reports detailing project procedures, outcomes, and observations
  • Contribute to dissemination of evaluation and research findings (e.g., papers, conferences)
  • JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in related field required (e.g., Public Health, Measurement, Evaluation, Statistics) with at least one year of postgraduate work experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting evaluation and/or research projects required, preferably to include mixed methods projects.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in quantitative data software (e.g., Stata, SPSS, R) and/or qualitative software (e.g., NVivo, ATLAS.ti, Dedoose).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required, preferably to include advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior organization skills and attention to detail (e.g., data cleaning).
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with teammates as well as clients.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Spanish language proficiency desired.
