The Johnson Controls Technology and Solutions Engineering team provides enterprise solution architecture, technology professional services, proof of concepts, vertical market technology consulting, and pre-sales system and project development engineering services for large complex building projects. The team develops and delivers leading building, business and vertical market solutions and engineering expertise that drive value for our owner customers and internal partners. The team brings a consultative and service-oriented approach as well as engineering development and operations discipline. Serving all of Johnson Controls’ priority vertical markets and sales channels in North America, the Digital Implementations Manager position is an integral part of our digital growth strategy.

This position will be responsible for the overall operational delivery / program management of digital solutions from JCI to a group of above area complex market owner customers. Responsibilities will include the oversight, management and delivery of digital projects to support these customers. 

How you will do it

  • Working with the Digital Implementation Director and sales to review, plan and implement plan and execution for owner customers
  • Develop and implement standardized processes within the Digital business for consistent, repeatable field implementations based on industry standards.
  • Build and maintain a solid working relationship with the North American Field Operations team (i.e., Controls, Security. Fire and HVAC Operations leaders) to work towards improved Customer Retention, Satisfaction and consistent best practices across North America
  • Build a solid working relationship with the above market sales channels (Performance Infrastructure, Strategic Accounts and Connected Technologies) to work towards and maintain improved customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with Regional/Area Leadership teams to ensure that field implementation expectations are met within budget constraints
  • Measuring, monitoring and overseeing all implementation activities, implementation support and delivery to the customer by working with the regional operational teams
  • Creating and managing reporting process for implementation performance
  • Adhere to and develop and implement policy and measures policy effectiveness
  • Work with the Digital Implementation Director, Sales, Operations and Engineering teams to ensure all financial and operational performance targets are met
  • Ensuring contractual and corporate compliance implementation
  • Coach and mentor technical and project team members on effective project management practices and techniques.
  • Serving as the primary customer interface to effectively communicate and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Leading innovation in a continuous improvement environment with quality tools, behaviors and practices
  • Continually seeks and capitalizes upon opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
  • What we look for

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Five (5) to (7) years enterprise technology implementation industry experience (IT, Software, Hardware, etc.)
  • Familiarity with complimentary and competitive toolsets
  • Proven project delivery and management experience at enterprise level
  • Proven experience leading a dispersed operations team and/or working in a matrixed organization
  • Experience handling employee issues and making sound judgment decisions
  • Demonstrated success in compiling, analyzing, and presenting financial and performance data
  • Knowledgeable in ITSM
  • Experience with influencing and interacting with owner stakeholders
  • Experience in establishing and running proof of concepts
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong planning, time management, and organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong listening, collaboration, and presentation skills
  • Travel may be required in support of program
  • Must possess strong skills in presentations, reporting, and effective writing; risk management/decision making skills; and strong problem-solving skills.
