Job TitleSystems Engineer (Remote)Position OverviewTricycle™ launched a revolutionary approach to carpet sampling with proprietary technology that digitally modeled carpet machine manufacturing. Each digital rendering, called a Tryk®, depicts carpet color and texture more realistically than photography-based images. Tricycle technology is utilized by the world's leading carpet manufacturers for prototyping new designsand for creating tools used by designers and architects. Tricycle's award winning technology saves designers and manufacturers time and money in production, merchandising, sampling, and sales. Tricycle continues to lead the industry with Tryk simulated carpet sampling, innovative digital tools, and the expertise to automate the manufacturing process.In this role, the Systems Engineer will work with the Tricycle Engineering Team to develop technology to support our visualization software, accompanying websites, and cloud based infrastructure that provide real time rendering, automation, and digital sample ordering.We are looking for someone who has relevant skills and experience and is ready to learn and grow as well. Ideally, you will be intelligent, curious, self-motivated, entrepreneurial and organized. You will also be coachable but willing to share your opinions. This role is for you if you are passionate about creating solutions, solving complex problems, and excited by seeing real people use what you've built, and have a desire to make a difference every day.ResponsibilitiesConfers with Information Technology groups and customers to understand corporate direction and goals, regarding automation and application of technologies.Design corporate information systems, write program specifications, develop user procedures and system documentation, and develop computer programs.Reviews finished product to assure quality and conformance to requirements, ensuring applicable standards are followed, and appropriate documentation has been created.Spends at least 60% of their time in the development (design, programming, installation, etc) of software.Confer with project team members to develop project plan, identifying task steps, and in the prioritization and scheduling of tasks to be performed.Conduct day-to-day activities and interactions with other employees in a professional, courteous, and positive manner.Minimum QualificationsPossesses IT or business related two or four year college degree, or a minimum of four years of experience in a medium to large scale Information Services environment.Professional level experience developing web applications using latest Java EE or Spring framework technologiesPossesses 2+ years of experience working with any major database and SQL.Possesses above average problem solving skills.Excellent communication skills both written and verbalC#/ASP.NET/ASP.NET CoreORM Experience - EntityFramework (Code First)/DapperSQL (MSSQL)Single Page Applications - HTML5/CSS3 + React/TypeScript/JavaScript + WebpackREST API Design/DevelopmentCI/CD Pipeline and TDD Best PracticesDependency Management - NPM, Yarn, Nuget, etcSource Control - GitAWS/Cloud EnvironmentWindows Server/IIS Deployment StrategiesRequired Leadership CompetenciesExecute Action PlanDemonstrate Good JudgmentInnovateBuild Trusting RelationshipsAdapt and ChangeSoftware Used:Visual Studio 2019VSCodeSQL Server Management StudioPreferences:WebGL/Three.js ExperienceSolid understanding of image formats and processing techniquesScripting experience using technologies such as PowerShellWindows Services (Message Queue based workers)Work Shift8 hour, day shiftShaw is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
