For more information, visit DESCRIPTION:As Senior Analog/Mixed-Signal Design Engineer, you will be a key player in the R team, designing and architecting state of the art mixed-signal blocks and systems for MEMS microphones. In addition, you will play an important role in supporting complex failure analyses to ensure smooth ramp-ups and high-volume production. You will participate in the design and development of new technology platforms and high volume products including all phases of ASIC development:Develop high-performance analog/mixed-signal ASICs from concept to mass production for audio applicationDesign and verify ASIC building blocks for test and manufacturability in collaboration with the project teamDevelop new block and system architecturesPresent concepts and technical status to stakeholders, including customersPerform post-layout simulations to verify performance at block and system levelCreate and patent new IPsGuide layout engineers to ensure the quality of the designEvaluate ASICs in the lab to validate performance of building blocks and systemsPerform complex root cause analyses of design and process related issues occurring during development, ramp-up and in productionIdentifying requirements and design specification for system and circuit blocksSystem design and simulationExplore new circuit topologies for signal chain circuits to improve performance on power and areaHelp build HHT design database for analog and digital microphonesExample blocks include: Charge pump, Comparator, Clock generator, Low distortion buffers/amplifiers, active and passive filters, ADC, Delta-Sigma Modulators, LDOs, Bandgap etc.Closely work with layout and other design engineers across various design center and business units. This is a remote work eligible job opportunity. POSITION/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:Engineering degree (M.Sc.E.E or similar expertise + over 5 years of work experience or a PhD) with focus on analog/mixed signal circuit design5+ years of proven track record in developing and tape-out analog or mixed-signal ICs in academia research or in industry R/DExperience in designing low-noise, low-power analog circuits is a plusSolid knowledge in EDA tools such as CadenceKnowledge of Matlab/Python/VerilogA is good to haveExtensive experience in silicon evaluation and root cause analysisStructured, methodical and results-driven personality able to work under pressureStrong team playerExcellent spoken and written communication skills in EnglishExperience with or knowledge of the following:CMOS circuit design concepts and fundamentals is must.Design experience and understanding of one or more of the following circuit blocks is must: Charge pumps, Amplifier architectures and design, Bandgap circuit, LDO architecture and design, Comparators.Design experience (system level or circuit level) of Delta Sigma ADC is preferred.Some knowledge of Layout is preferred
