As the Senior User Experience Designer , you will be responsible for creating compelling web and mobile experiences for users of Bright Horizons services. You will draw on results from user research and knowledge of modern design standards, and use strong creative, technical and problem-solving skills to provide solution-oriented recommendations based on the results.

Areas of focus include web and mobile interaction design, web and mobile visual design, content, controls and development, information architecture, user research, branding and customer/technical support.

What you will be doing:

  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and other internal stakeholders as well as external clients to collectively create a best in class user experience to compete with any other B2B or B2C application available in the child care / elder care / back-up care marketplace.
  • Deliver highly functional, user-focused designs, wireframes, prototypes and annotations.
  • Create UX solutions that satisfy business strategies and user needs.
  • Work cross platform: iOS, Android, Web, Mobile Web, Tablet, etc.
  • Work with Product Managers to conduct user research, facilitate user testing and provide solution-oriented recommendations based on the results.
  • Provide detailed specifications of design solutions to be consumed by development teams.
  • Participate in reviewing development work to make sure all user experience specifications and designs are implemented properly
  • Stay current with the rapidly evolving arena of mobile design trends and standards, and provide guidance to Bright Horizons about future trajectory and roadmap.
  • What we need from you:

  • 5+ years experience as a UX designer
  • Design ownership of a successful B2C or B2B mobile application/experience
  • Strong visual design sense, with a clear command of interaction design, and usability.
  • Experience designing interfaces that resonate with a diverse assemblage of personas/end users.
  • Experience with designs that satisfy WCAG/ADA requirements.
  • The drive and ability to learn quickly about our domain and our complex technology.
  • The ability to clearly articulate design decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and written, and an ability to build great relationships across the organization.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, especially in the area of flexibility and interaction is a plus.
