Copyeditor/Copywriter Manager (Marketing/digital/Advertising) Remote

Location: Remote

Pay $50hr (Weekly pay)

2 month contract (Potential for extension)

Full-time: M-F

They are seeking a Marketing Automation Specialist to join their team.

Job Overview

The Copy Manager is responsible for managing a team of copywriters in the content development workflow to generate compelling thought leadership and demand generating content that supports campaign objectives. This includes an agile-structured workflow and resource management using WorkFront, and excellent proofreading abilities in AP Style.

Responsibilities

  • Expert-level use of Adobe WorkFront to manage workflows of the writing team, monitor workload capacities, and review of creative briefs to ensure sufficient direction for writers on projects.
  • Proofreading and copy editing to ensure consistency in brand voice, style, tone, and messaging and uphold high quality standards for all content writing.
  • Collaborate across functions to manage content project plans that include email campaigns, paid media ads,blogs, ebooks, whitepapers, infographics, webinars, and other marketing collateral.
  • Lead SEO optimization efforts for content written for the web.
  • Manage external writers and contracted thought-leader contributors as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, or related field
  • 2+ years' experience managing a marketing team of copy/content writers
  • 5+ years' experience as a copywriter or related role
  • Background in either Copyeditor with content marketing experience, journalism or Copywriters from digital/advertising/marketing agencies and/or corporate communications
  • Must have experience using Workfront project management software
  • Exceptional editing and proofreading skills, with a solid understanding of AP Style guidelines
  • Substantial experience in copyediting and proofreading, outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Project & workflow management experience within a content marketing function, working with copywriters strongly preferred
  • Understanding of SEO and digital content management, and proficiency using Google Analytics
  • Excellent project management and resource allocation skills
