Zions Bancorporation is accepting applications for an Engagement Manager -Third Party Risk to be located anywhere in the US with travel to headquarters as needed.

  • Manages a team responsible for continual risk management activities throughout the third-party lifecycle, to ensure quality control and consistency of execution for third-parties and individual third-party engagements.
  • Manages the ongoing monitoring activities and collates/distributes reporting to senior management.
  • Overall responsibility for the identification of escalation topics and the facilitation of conversations with the business regarding third party termination and need for action plans.
  • Manages the validation of inputs into inherent risk assessments from the business, understands both technical and business topics related to the third-party in question.
  • May function as a liaison with and provide guidance to Relationship Owners regarding risk assessments and implications for proposed third-party usage.
  • Manages the translation of business requirements into guidance for Contracting team as it relates to third-party risk. Responsible for ongoing monitoring requirements and standards.
  • Ensure controls are in place and regularly tested to manage the risks associated with third-party relationships. Monitors overall compliance with contractual agreements (SLAs, KPIs).
  • Responsible for the creation of reports identifying risks in the overall third-party portfolio with summaries of material issues with third-parties and associated risks.
  • Escalate issues or concerns arising from ongoing monitoring, such as an increase in risk, material weaknesses, repeat audit findings, deterioration in financial condition, security breaches, data loss, service or system interruptions or compliance lapses, etc. to senior management.
  • Support business units in creating and updating termination plans based upon changing information emerging from monitoring activities (e.g. changes in Zions situation, third party situation).
  • Work collaboratively with other teams in supply chain management, stakeholders, third-party risk management team and risk owners to ensure consistency in procedures and processes across the organization.
  • Keep current on regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible to hire, fire and conduct performance reviews.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree
  • 6+ years of third-party risk management, vendor management or equivalent experience or certifications.
  • Some management experience required.
  • A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
  • Requires a considerable working knowledge of third-party risk management, vendor management, regulatory requirements and reporting.
  • Excellent project and third-party relationship management, analysis, problem solving and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to take initiative and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to set goals and maintain high quality work standards.
  • Strong management and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage a staff and deal effectively with people in various job capacities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
