The Manager of Business Analysis will play a critical role in the development and execution of the prior authorization clinical review technology platform, supplying key information to clinical review personnel to deliver high quality care. The position will be responsible for managing and prioritizing multiple concurrent implementations while understanding requirements, interpreting features, developing user stories and task schedules, while coordinating team bandwidth and managing business customer expectations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Working with the business customer, understanding requirements, completing analysis to create the solution approach and providing direction to the config team
  • SME in the technical solution for rules configuration
  • Sets team direction, resolves problems and provides guidance to members of team: Manages day-to-day activities of team of systems analysts, providing oversight, guidance on priorities, and helping remove roadblocks
  • Lead cross-functional team as a Product Owner, tasked with driving decisions and delivering prior authorization configuration changes with an emphasis on speed-to-market impacting multiple systems and lines of business
  • Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges
  • Influences or provides input to forecasting and planning activities
  • Liaise with external vendors to prioritize and deploy configuration changes
  • Create and use project artifacts (project plans, IRRAD, test plans, business impact analysis/capital planning documents), including the use of Agile tools such as Rally and Aha!
  • Accountable for end-to-end execution of team deliverables, including project management, testing, operational readiness, reporting, and alignment to organizational MBOs
  • Partner with other area leaders to deliver enterprise initiatives, providing guidance on area impacts, capacity and timing considerations, and issue resolution
  • Facilitate business requirement and solutioning discussions with SMEs from all areas of the organization in order to identify and implement meaningful solutions
  • Translate strategic objectives into achievable, tactical actions for team to execute
  • Communicate status, support executive presentation content creation, and escalate issues to internal and external stakeholders
  • Serve as area SME, supporting leadership in assessing and solving complex, critical operational/business challenges

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience working in project or product management
  • 5+ years of working in a large, matrixed environment
  • 5+ years of maintaining and reporting status and KPIs (key performance indicators)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supervisory experience
  • Configuration management experience
  • Experience using configuration tools
  • 3+ years of healthcare background

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600.
