What You'll Be Doing:

  • Can effectively lead, support and motivate a team of Facilities ProjectManagement Professionals
  • Responsible for the development of conceptual plans and budgets for facilities, projects to support fiscal decision-making
  • Coordinates with proponent groups to facilitate project facility planning, budgeting, and scheduling
  • Develops planning documents for initiation of projects to gain approval
  • Prepares Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and conducts all necessary meetings to facilitate hiring architectural and construction management services
  • Monitors and reports on all phases of planning and construction to ensure that implementation and prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives
  • Coordinates all parties involved in the planning, design, and construction processby assigning tasks and providing guidance for specific functions
  • Develops and maintains facility project budgets
  • Conducts pre-construction meetings, reviews bids, and recommends award of contracts
  • Prepares construction contracts and monitors their execution and distribution prepares contract change orders and monitors their execution
  • Reviews contract plans and specifications for compliance with appropriate building codes and project requirements
  • Receives pay requests from professional consultants and contractors and approves payment requests
  • Monitors and facilitates resolution of construction contract disputes and claims
  • Prepares project reports as required and controls expenditures in accordancewith budget allocations
  • Coordinates with facility occupants and assists the move-in to facilities
  • Assists in development, implementation and maintenance of new and existing standards of practice for project management activities; software, best practices, creation of processes and procedures
  • May prepare or participate in the preparation of abstracts, research reports,funding proposals, operations and procedural manuals and other written materialand documentation as required
  • Ensures effective, timely written and oral communication with consultants, construction contractors, external and internal customers during all phases of design and construction
  • Furniture selection, negotiation of contract, management of supplier relationships and execution within all NAM facilities
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
  • What You'll Need:

  • Has 5-10 years in Commercial Facilities Project Management, fullunderstanding of Architectural Design and CAD experience a must
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, Pharmaceutical and Warehouse experience is a plus
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of facilities planning and construction management processes and procedures, estimating, budgeting, and scheduling practices, escalation factors, market trends, building codes and standards of practice, laws governing construction contracts and contracting, construction materials and methods, supervisory practices and principles
  • Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, floor plans and specifications to compare them with construction progress
  • Must have expert level skills in both verbal and written communications.
