In the role of Data Management Program Manager, you’ll embed in cross-functional teams to facilitate the design, development, and rollout of our new Data Management capabilities and tools. You’ll also take on responsibility for managing the integration of multiple teams’ efforts in service of delivering the broader DM program.You will be tasked with developing programs to support the organization's strategic direction, as well as creating and managing long term goals.

You’ll be an instrumental member of our dynamic, mission-driven team, acting as a servant leader to close gaps in software, product, and customer experience. You will solve exciting problems every day as you drive continuous improvement in how your teams work and what they deliver, always staying a step ahead on risks and opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an understanding of how data moves through the enterprise from both a product and process perspective
  • Ensure that the flow of information between the Product Manager and the Data Engineers is organized in such a way that the entire business can get the project shipped on time
  • Work closely with project teams to drive definition and execution of features and products
  • Actively anticipate, identify, alert and monitor issues, risks and dependencies. Track and remove barriers to progress.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of adjacent teams and maneuvers, and a strategic approach to maximize the delivery of business value based on Olive’s goals
  • Ensure that project and program schedules and scope are well-defined. Track progress and report status on a regular basis to the stakeholders and executive leadership
  • Champion and support Agile software development practices where they make sense, and tailor those practices (including scrums, planning, review and retrospective sessions, demos and more) to each project team. Promote a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement around practices and tools.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and creative problem-solving in the face of uncertainty
  • Pitch in as required in Data Analysis, Data Discovery and BI tasks.
  • Identify and propose process improvements that align with the overall business strategy
Requirements
  • 3+ years experience leading software development projects or analytics-focused initiatives. Ideal candidates have experience at scrappy, fast-moving startups as well as more established companies operating at scale.
  • Capable of managing interrelated, multi-disciplinary, multi-platform programs requiring dedicated coordination and oversight.
  • Comfortable working with SQL on a daily basis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate between technical and non-technical contributors, and between project teams and senior leadership.
  • Ability to take ownership of complex efforts and mediate between competing interests and personalities. Ability to identify options, suggest solutions, and act decisively when necessary to advance a project.
  • Genuine enthusiasm and excitement for product and project management. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to conscientiously manage and follow up on multiple concurrent work streams on tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency with technical concepts and an ability to learn technical concepts quickly
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence is preferred
  • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment with limited resources
  • Healthcare data knowledge around EDI, X12, providers, payers, revenue cycle and clinical data is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of Medical claims, Rx Claims, Clinical data, Eligibility, Healthcare insurance benefit set up, provider data, healthcare industry standard datasets like ICD, CPT, SNOMED is a plus.
  • Knowledge of standard claim file contents (UB04, HCFA-1500, NCPDP) and EDI messages.
  • Previous experience with analytical programing languages (Python, R) and related data manipulation packages (Pandas, Numpy, dplyr, tidyr)
