Opportunity

Responsible for the connected strategy across all customers and channels for Products, Data & Services based on the specific regional needs. Owns the go to market and channel strategy for Products, Data & Services.Works closely with the Application Product Owner, Category Strategy leaders and Program Management to ensure the Application is meeting the needs of all stakeholders.

This role is responsible for planning and directing the company’s short and long-range product development roadmaps to support the overarching financial goals of the business.Also responsible for creation of the marketing strategy for Smart Solutions, and work with our channel marketing, communications and sales organization to drive Smart Solutions marketing activities.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Owns the overarching Connectivity Strategy with the regional needs (regulatory, Data Sovereignty, Voice platforms etc.) accounted for.Focuses on the strategy for products and how they fit into the connected eco-system (systems thinking) while working with the Category Strategy teams to ensure the product supports their category strategy and product progressions. Responsible for identifying areas of focus for the Advanced Development team to investigate that support the vision for Global Smart Solutions.
  • Responsible for identifying opportunities to grow our connected ecosystem outside of our core offering.Identifies new product categories, data opportunities and service/subscription models with the goal of creating new revenue streams, enhanced experiences, and greater customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for understanding the market inside and out.Needs to stay current on regulatory and compliance requirements for their region.Stay tuned to what is happening in the connected space including Big-Tech, across commercial and residential.Gain consumer/customer insights and feedback through studies and from data analytics to inform our strategies and roadmaps.
  • Owns the overarching strategy for the Application (Mobile or Desktop).Works with the Category Strategy team to align on product requirements and works closely with the User Experience team and Product Owner on the “consumer” needs and user stories for products.Identifies enhancements and new functionality through the creation of an Application Roadmap.
  • Owns the overarching Data Strategy with the regional needs (regulatory, Data Sovereignty, Voice platforms etc.) accounted for.Focuses on the strategy for data with the goal of monetization.Works with Category Strategy teams to understand insights from the data to influence product development, identifies service/subscription opportunities and 3rd party data sales potential.
  • Works closely with the Channel and Category Strategy teams to identify needs in our existing channels and support to drive growth on shared KPIs.Also responsible for identifying new channel opportunities that support our goals for ecosystem growth.This includes channels for data, subscriptions, and services.
  • Relate and recommend changes in established market distribution and strategy as necessitated by market and consumer preferences.
  • Work Globally and Cross Category to maximize development efficiencies and deliver unexpected user experiences through the Smart Home enabled products.
  • Skills/Requirements

    Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related technical field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Channel Management, and/or Product Development in Smart Home/IOT Connectivity business with progressively more responsibility and a track record of results.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to drive strong collaboration both locally and globally.
  • Well-developed analytical skills.
  • Proficient knowledge Microsoft Office Suite tools preferred.
  • Preferred:

  • MBA/MS.
  • Strong brand experience.
  • Strong Smart Home development experience.
  • Previous supervisory or coaching experience.
  • Travel Requirements

  • In-field travel including customer training, presentations, tradeshows, store visits, and Kohler campus, as needed, approximately 30-40%.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
