The Dell Technologies Professional Services organization is looking for a Global Technical Lead focused on Telecom solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with services product management organizations developing comprehensive plans and actions for delivery enablement of service offers and sustaining solutions that are part of the managed and as-a Service delivery models to support the Dell Telco transformation towards 5G, Internet of Things, and virtualized and open radio access networks. To develop enablement plans, this individual will work closely with theater-based delivery SMEs and managers to understand specific needs of the delivery stakeholders and capacity. You will: Provide technical skills readiness in a global theater for the professional, managed, and field services technical roles. Support key automation and tools initiatives that provide optimization for the delivery process for the Telecom solutions.; collaborate with software engineers and developers to deliver solutions to optimize service delivery for Telco solutions and their integrations. Work with multiple and diverse functional teams in a global theater. Some of the functionals teams represent presales, delivery, product engineering, services offer development, among others. Serve as the Technical Lead of a Telecom technical community; develop and maintain knowledge of Telcom architectures. Provide best practices and recommendations aligned with telecom industry standards. Review service offer program documents and provide commentaries and best practices; define skills required to implement Telcom solutions. Collaborate with Dell Education Services, determine training requirements and mode of training. delivery​, as well as, lab requirements & capabilities​. Enable service delivery plans globally at service launch​; provide direction/awareness to theater-based enablement resources. Prepare and deliver executive updates for functional stakeholders on program summaries status. Here’s what we are looking for with this role: Essential Requirements The role typically requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field plus 8-10 years of related experience with the Telecom Industry in technical roles involving Architecture and Deployments. Experience with design, implementation, and/or telco networking operation is a must. The Global Technical Lead is passionate about exploring new technologies and bringing up ideas that can become solutions to complex Telecom integrations. The roles require strong communication skills and the ability to articulate Telco Solutions to technical and non-technical audiences. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organization is a must. The role requires strong technical knowledge of operating systems, hypervisors, containers, Kubernetes, 5G Core technologies, vRAN, oRAN, Network Assurance Systems, architecture, Edge, MEC, Telecom Network Management Systems, Network disaggregation, NFV, FCAPS, EMS/OSS/BSS for Mobile/Cellular Infrastructure. Desirable Requirements Holds a networking-related certification recognized by the industry, for example, CCNP, Dell networking Specialist, or equivalent. Experience with VMware NSX-T, Tanzu Kubernetes Grid, Telco Cloud Automation, vRealize Suite Experience with Red Hat OpenShift, Openstack, Ceph, Kubernets. Automation, coding, and scripting abilities are a plus. Ansible, PowerShell, Python for example Holds a VMware Certified Professional Certification and/or Red Hat Certification. Presentations and storytelling techniques. Knowledge of public and private cloud architecture and associated technologies (e.g. endpoint security, network security, Cloud security, IAM, etc.). Industry related specialized knowledge and/or additional certifications (e.g.,TOGAF, ITIL Foundation (or Advanced), and COBIT). Ability to influence external & internal decision makers and to anticipate challenges and take pro-active action to address. Strong documentation and technical writing skills with an ability to create high impact deliverables. Adaptable and progressive learner with the ability to communicate complex technical topics to both a technical and non-technical audience. An active listener with excellent communications and interpersonal skills, with an ability to utilizes different styles of questioning techniques and manage conflict and objection handling.
