Overview Position: Python Developer Duration: Long term Location: Pittsburgh PA OR Remote Business need for this role: Working on regulatory and analytical products to meet the needs of regulators, improvising our technology platforms to move to Python and Hadoop. New development project. Top Must-Have Skills / Candidate Requirements: Proficient in Python programming (superior knowledge of MatPlotLib, Pandas, and NumPy packages) Proficient in development of APIs in Flask and Rest APIs Proficient in backend database management (such as SQL Lite, Oracle) for data query in Pandas, data retrieval, data push from multiple databases Proficient in managing code system in Linux environments (using Shell scripting - KSH, PERL, BASH scripting) Proficient in DevOps using tools such as GIT, GIT Bash, etc. Good understanding of design patterns, microservices and service oriented architectures Ability to reverse engineer code to create documentation and also work with undocumented code Experienced in code debugging through logging Degrees/Certifications/Years of Overall Experience Required: 5+ years in core Python programming Overall 8+ years Day to day responsibilities: Work with Oracle Dataset to understand structure of data to write code to create an analysis dataset, work with set to create calculations for reporting for the business.
