Remote, Senior Security Software Engineer
This is a work from home, remote position in the USA or Canada.
SUMMARY:
- This is a new position in the company, seeking strong security development to collaborate and lead Security Development on web applications from platform Back to front, Full Stack, Server Development. You are a talented and highly motivated individual looking to join us in securing our next-generation product platform. You will be a key part of an international, cross-functional team developing cutting-edge products using the latest and greatest tools. You'll help implement security best practices across both our core application and our rapidly growing list of microservices.
- You will be the key to cyber security as the company transitions from rearchitecting monolith to microservices. They have one big application going through a 10 years sw they have been sustaining and bringing it up to technology expectations, transitioning on MS.
- As our team grows, there is big opportunity to contribute and advance your career.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contribute substantially to design and development of major security components and sub-systems using Java platform
- Improve current security architecture to make our systems more robust
- Take ownership of reported vulnerabilities and provide status and remediation plans to the Product Management team
- Work with Product Management, QA, and documentation to deliver high quality, complete Software Releases
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other application developers
- Contribute/help the company on the transition to move from monolith to microservices ecosystem
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, Masters a plus
- Certifications such as CSSLP, CCSP, CISSP are a huge plus!
- At least 5+ years of related on-the-job experience as either Front-End, Back-End or Full Stack Developer, Platform Developer with application security focused development work
- Strong familiarity with OWASP Top 10 solutions and other application security vulnerabilities
- Strong familiarity with Identity/AuthN/AuthZ related protocols such as LDAP, OAuth2, OIDC, SAML2.
- Strong communication skills
- Must be very proficient in Java 8+
- Familiarity with following technologies a plus:
- Docker
- JavaScript
- TypeScript
- Spring
- WildFly
- Cloud Services (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud)
