This position is responsible for identifying Supply Chain cost control initiatives through development and maintenance of data management tools, ERP systems mining, and ad hoc analysis. This role will work with all areas within the Bed Bath & Beyond organization to accomplish these objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop best case scenarios to facilitate supply chain optimization studies.
  • Provide warehousing, real estate, transportation costs, and market factors for modeling requirements.
  • Support ongoing analysis for logistics and supply chain initiatives that drive strategic savings and business-wide results.
  • Transportation cost modeling and analysis in all modes of transportation.
  • Responsible for setup, maintenance, and diagnostics of the Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
  • Setup of initial configuration, maintenance of configurations, TL, LTL, and Parcel contracts in TMS.
  • Responsible for user acceptance testing (UAT)/coordination and troubleshooting of the TMS system to support current and future business requirements. Also responsible for configuration, and optimization of shipments.
  • Developing and using relational databases such as Access and SQL to gather data for reporting of logistics activities in the areas of transportation service performance, store operations activities, carrier management, and freight expenditures

Qualifications:

  • Experience with relational databases such as Access and SQL to gather data for reporting
  • Experience with MercuryGate TMS application
  • In depth experience with LTL tariffs and parcel zone costing.
