This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and creative UX Designer to join an amazing EdTech company in central Birmingham. This newly created role within the design team will give you the chance to lead on the user experience within the business and influence a range of digital applications. The role is permanent, full-time and comes with an attractive salary and excellent company benefits. You will work remotely in the main and spend time in the office for meetings, training, and social events.

The Role
As UX Designer, you will be responsible for delivering the best user experience across a range of sectors and users (schools, colleges, workplaces), which makes your role extremely important for the company's success. Reporting to the CEO, you will collaborate with internal product teams and users, to understand their goals and objectives and effectively plan, test, and implement new designs. You will design new and optimise existing user flows and wireframes, user interface designs, supported by a Digital Designer. You will be responsible for testing intuitiveness and user experience, conducting ongoing user research. You will develop technical and business requirements and always strive to deliver intuitive and user-centred solutions, using your creativity and awareness of key design elements.
About You
You have a background in graphic and digital design, or business analytics, with recent experience in UX, designing for web applications and native apps, strong experience with SaaS products, ideally for the EdTech sector. You are detail-oriented and consider yourself a problem-solver and critical thinker, with a customer-centred approach. You understand how to work with a back-end dashboard, set up users, track activity and monitor features and functionality. You have excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills as well as being a great organiser. You are highly skilled in Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat and Dreamweaver, with some experience in HTML5 & CSS, and working knowledge of Usability Factors in Human Computer Interaction.
