Overview

Join the QuickBooks Live team as part of the Small Business Self-Employed’s Group to lead a team of managers and certified bookkeepers as we build out this new and exciting service. We are looking for a strong manager to build and lead a large, virtual team, while at the same time supporting the growing team in establishing scalable systems and processes. The ideal candidate for this role is enthusiastic, empathetic, organized, and flexible to constantly re-prioritize and adapt in an ambiguous, quickly-evolving environment. Professional bookkeeping experience and experience managing large remote teams are highly desirable.

What you'll bring

• Candidate can be located in Mountain View, or can be remote.• Three to five years in a formal leadership/management role. Prefer experience in a remote environment and/or in a customer-service environment• Proven experience working with team members in establishing career development plans and in meeting individual needs.• Strong project management skills; ability to take something from conception to execution with little direction• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.• Candidate who with direct bookkeeping experience and related credentials strongly preferred• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study preferred.

• Hire, lead, manage and motivate a high performing team in achieving or exceeding business unit goals. Effectively manage a remote workforce, taking into account and understanding the unique needs of this community.• Partner closely with other leaders in the QuickBooks Live team to optimize service delivery and to identify and resolve operational issues• Establish effective partnerships with other parts of the QBL organization, as well as the broader organization, to improve the overall bookkeeper customer experiences and help introduce new services being developed. • Continuously assess and improve immediate team’s processes while also driving improvements in cross-functional processes.• Help shape the direction of QBL and the way we operate; establish, manage and drive projects end-to-end to achieve results• Create an environment where people are encouraged to share information, to engage in debate, and to communicate freely.
