For success, you will need to execute the following:• Work with fellow engineers to maintain the stability and compliance of messaging engines across several protocols (including HTTP and SMPP).• Construct pipelines that support high throughput and high load to filter out invalid phone numbers, unsubscribed contacts, blocked words and phrases within messages, and invalid content media sent along with messages.• Construct monitoring tools around traffic. This might include sampling network traffic for penetration testing, building infrastructure around rate-limiting per client, and monitoring tier one carrier blocking patterns.RequirementsSomeone with a demonstrated track record and possesses the following• 4-5+ years as a software engineer (backend focused, telecom a plus)• 1-2+ years using Linux (Ubuntu)• Familiarity with AWS and popular AWS services such as Elastic Beanstalk, S3, RDS, SQS, Lambda.• Familiarity with testing standards and QA processes.• Experience with agile methodology.• Knowledge of Go/Rust• Familiarity with statistics and patterns of data representation• Familiarity with machine learning algorithms for spam/anomaly detection• The courage to challenge the status quo when logic and reason require it• Flexibility - things change around here fast• Drive, Grit, Team Oriented; strong desire to compete and win• Creativity and ability to "think outside the box" in problem solvingCommitment to Diversity As an immigrant-founded company, diversity and inclusion are in our DNA.
