As a Client Manager under the Direct-to-Consumer business you are joining an elite team within OptumRx . You are responsible for the operational management of customers in coordination with strategic account executives. You will collaborate with multiple layers of management to ensure service delivery is accurate and ensure responses are completed on time and within scope. You will have exposure to both internal and external customers. You will have responsibilities including but not limited to customer onboarding and setup activities, client reporting, and client meetings. You will also oversee operational functions pertaining to day – to – day management of the customer which includes maintaining timely communications and responses to issues/ requests. You will also provide leadership and support in the management of member and customer escalated issues and / or service concerns. You will act as SME for Supplemental Benefit designs, products, and programs. This position requires prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast-paced production environment. We welcome an investigative personality who is interested in finding answers. There will be travel nationally up to 15% of the time.

Manages ongoing contract relationships and service delivery to clients for one or more accounts. Acts as outward – facing, dedicated resource for assigned accounts, typically with direct client contact (not call center) and large or complex accounts. Builds relationships with clients (not individual members) and serves as the primary point of contact for overall and day – to – day service delivery. Represents client internally and coordinates with other functions to implement client systems, complete projects, and address ongoing service needs. Jobs in this function may work closely with sales on renewals but incumbents do not have specific sales goal accountability or primary responsibility to close sales.

This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday – Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Own the service experience of customers by working with other matrix partners as required to ensure issues are resolved promptly and accurately meeting the customer's expectations
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal partners to manage customer service experience
  • Fully accountable for supporting and facilitating resolution of all elevated customer service requests by working with internal partners, and conducting customer consultations as required
  • Conduct meetings with customers to identify issues / trends and analyze root causes to determine corrective action steps
  • Establish and maintain strong and appropriate relationships with customers
  • Coordinate open enrollment and renewal activities, as needed
  • Coordinate activities to support Root Cause Analysis, as needed
  • Coordinate implementation activities, as needed
  • Demonstrate a high level of healthcare industry knowledge as well as the customer's specific industry
  • Works with less structured, more complex issues where work is generally self-directed and not prescribed
  • Perform other assignments and responsibilities as required by management

    Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • 3+ years of work experience in a client facing / implementation role
  • 3+ years of experience in Microsoft Word (save and edit information), Microsoft PowerPoint (create presentations), and Microsoft Excel (sort and filter data)
  • Ability to travel up to 15% up of the time
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher)
  • 3+ years of previous pharmacy / healthcare benefit management experience
  • Any project management or Six Sigma certification(s)

    Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $64,800 – $116,000. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $71,400 – $127,400.
