    Duties & Qualifications

  • Strategize and execute email programs from kick-start to delivery
  • Ability to design and edit modular HTML emails
  • Leverage automation tools to create life-cycle marketing journeys
  • A/B test behavioral economic and emotional marketing principles
  • Add to our A/B library of learnings and educate teammates
  • 5 years of email marketing experience
  • Certified in email and automation platform ( Acoustic & Eloqua preferably )
  • Excellent HTML knowledge specific to email
  • Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Support eCRM Strategy Lead. Research, develop and execute demand generation strategies which leverage marketing automation tools to increase acquisition, retention, profitability and cross-sell of clients across Truist’s product lines and key segments
  • Partner with lines of business (LOB) and marketing strategists to develop product specific roadmaps which assist in achieving LOB goals
  • Understand consumer behavior models and user journeys – how they are applied to our products and services. Increase product awareness, and acquisition by aligning consumer needs with Truist offerings
  • Build multi-channel integrations with social media, paid advertising, content marketing, SEO and corporate website teams
  • Develop lead-scoring rules based on online behavior and internal data that show interest and intent.
  • Develop automations and journeys that are triggered off scoring.
  • Increase digitally centric households via emails that encourage online and mobile app use.
  • Ensure technological and data dependencies are identified, aligned and shared with key stakeholder groups like Digital Services, Database Marketing, etc.
  • Create meaningful database segmentation to tailor campaign and program messages for targeted audiences across specific market segments and industries
  • Share industry trends and knowledge with Marketing Analysts, Digital Marketing and Marketing Strategy.
  • Reduce subscriber fatigue via strategic exclusions and preference management
  • Enhance email marketing via A/B testing, reporting and insights.
  • Create a library of test ideas based on proven behavioral economic and emotional marketing principles.
  • Create a library of test learnings highlighting the principles tested and the statistical significance.
  • Establish benchmarks for tracking future progress.
  • Research and test current marketing automation trends, the competitive environment and emerging technologies
  • Continual education on new email platform features
  • Leverage email and web analytics to develop our eCRM marketing strategies , improve conversion rates and enhance client experience.
     
  • Required qualifications

  • Five years of email marketing experience
  • Certified in the use of email and automation providers.
  • Excellent understanding of HTML for email and ability to code templates, revise modular layouts and provide both strategic and technical direction to web developers
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent education and related training
  • Proficiency in Boolean logic expressions for building queries and hyper-segmentation
  • In-depth knowledge of principles, practices, theories, and/or methodologies associated with the Marketing discipline (e.g., Behavioral economics, Market research, analytics)
  • Experience managing projects or project work streams and works as an individual contributor
  • Knowledge of the industry's competitive landscape and the factors that differentiate Truist and its competitors in the market
  • Ability to interpret and explain complex information to a range of audiences and build consensus among different stakeholders
  • Strong quantitative, technical, analytical, problem-solving, writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to provide direction, and mentor less experienced teammates 
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
