Job Summary

Analyzes information using data manipulation, correlation, and statistical analysis. Play a critical role in finding new business opportunities, understanding their business implications, and developing information for the business capture process. Gather and analyze information about competitors, customers, products, markets, government regulations, trends, and public perception affecting target markets. Develop and implement a research strategy to identify key markets that support company/functional strategy and goals, locating new business opportunities, developing competitive intelligence for capturing key opportunities, and collecting and analyzing information and documentation to support the proposal process. Provide information for strategic and tactical business planning processes.

Essential Functions

  • Provides statistical and analytical support and interpretation
  • Analyzes information using data manipulation, correlation, and statistical analysis
  • Modifies computer programs to extract information from company databases
  • Responsible for development of data and information structure
  • Performs primary field research, including customer, distribution, competitor, insurance department, and market surveys
  • Identifies market segments and develops specialized pricing approaches
  • Measures and monitors performance of states, initiatives, and identified segments
  • Facilitates through other parts of the organization to accomplish results
  • Participates in quantitative and qualitative research projects independently
  • Fulfills ad-hoc requests for data and analytical reporting to support business units throughout the organization
  • Knowledge and Skills/Technology Used

  • Attention to minute detail, highly organized, consistent due diligence
  • Ability to communicate messages effectively to customers in all markets
