Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Senior Project Manager who has experience running large multi-million dollar projects. This person will be responsible for all aspects of the project in a complex environment. This includes managing the project budget, working with POs and the project team, ensuring project delivery is on time and on pace. These projects are run in a hybrid Waterfall/Agile environment and thus this person must also have experience with Agile and serving as a Scrum Master in some capacity.
They will be managing several large software upgrade projects. This is a fast paced environment. It is 100% remote and will require someone who can keep up and will go above and beyond with a proactive mentality.
Minimum Requirements
- 7+ yrs of Project Management experience with Agile working experience in software projects
- Very strong experience managing project financials (actuals, forecast, resources, vendors)
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Takes time to invest in building a relationship with the Product Owner to work more closely together in delivering projects
- Takes ownership in understanding the scope of the effort, getting into the details of the work, being able to have an educated conversation about the project, current status and what needs to be done next
- Takes time to understand the business goals and objectives, what problem they are trying to solve for and how to get the work done
- Learn or understand the technology that is being implemented. There are times where we need to do a little extra homework to read about a product or technology to be in a better position to at least ask the probing questions.
- Attention to details and understanding the interdependencies between tasks and projects
- Has managed multi-million-dollar projects in app dev. Space
- Experience working in a large/ complex enterprise environment
- Experience managing fast paced projects
- Experience managing projects with stakeholders across multiple business domains
- Experience with Azure Devops, TFS, or Jira
- Experience with ServiceNow PPM or another PPM tool
- Experience with Agile, should know how to do the following:
Refinement Sessions
Estimations
Definition of ready
How to organize and run ceremonies
How to conduct retrospectives
How to track metrics
Sprint planning activities
Managing velocity
Managing burn down summary reporting
Track impediments until they are resolved
