The person in this position will relate business needs to technology capabilities and contribute to the IT strategic roadmap.Job Responsibilities & RequirementsEssential Functions:Roles and ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and measure internal customer feedback related to technology platforms, understanding and advocating for the "voice of the customer."Act as the "keeper (and communicator) of the vision" to translate the product strategy and vision developed with business stakeholders into what the product team must bear in mind every day to ensure they are building the right product.Facilitate and drive alignment among key stakeholders and IT.Work with key stakeholders to make frequent and dynamic prioritization decisions based on the latest product analytics, product team metrics, and customer feedback. Define, track and communicate key product performance indicators required to inform this process and track business results.Cultivate partnership relationships with key business stakeholders, frequently aligning on business roadmaps and goals and the related product roadmap.Define the product roadmap based on business outcomes by defining product business capabilities.Collaborate closely with product teams and operational teams to ensure product offerings are delivered, managed, and supported appropriately.Collaborate and coordinate with innovation teams to manage the flow of new ideas and product capabilities into one or more product lines.Partner with the Product Management Leader and other product managers to create and manage an IT strategic roadmap that supports MiTek's strategic goals.Cultivate knowledge about and adoption of technologies related to technology platforms.Skills & Abilities:A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or business administration is preferred, but not required. Product managers come from a broader range of backgrounds than would make it appropriate to limit this to degrees in information systems or business administration, or the equivalent work experience.Five to seven years (or more) of relevant experience in IT and business/industry or government (in the business domain in which the product will exist, for example) that gave the candidate a close-enough view of the target customer role to understand what they do, and what they see as valuable.Three or more years in diverse roles and increasing responsibilities across business and IT, although a business-only career is acceptable if business roles included sufficient technology focus to equip the candidate to communicate effectively with delivery teams.Demonstrable experience of engaging executives and other stakeholders to support important business decisions.Demonstrable knowledge of the product management discipline, through assisting a more-senior product manager, or from interning in a product management organization while in college.Basic familiarity with the principles of design thinking, and lean and agile software delivery.More than three years working in or with lean and agile software delivery teams (preferred).More than three years working with design professionals, within a design thinking process, including as an assistant in the user experience design process (preferred).IND123MiTek is an E-Verify and Drug and Tobacco-Free Workplace.
