Description

The Doctor Call Queue Pharmacist will:
• Provide resolution or outreach for a resolution on prescriptions that are considered incomplete, invalid, or contain clinical issues preventing the fulfillment of the request via electronic communication with the Doctor’s office.
• Check for completeness and accuracy of prescriptions
• Interact with fellow health care team members virtually
• Assure compliance with legal requirements within the pharmacy
• Other duties as assigned by leadership

  • Work hours Monday thru Friday, 8 hour shifts/40 hours a week. Typical shifts are 9-5:30pm local time and are subject to change yearly based off of department need/performance.

    There is a potential for mandatory overtime at some portions of the year. PTO restrictions during blackout peak periods December through March.

    Required Qualifications

  • Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy
  • Licensed as a PHARMACIST in Arizona, Florida, Texas or Ohio
  • Reside in Arizona, Florida, Texas or Ohio
  • Ability to participate in Federal prescription programs
  • Self-directed, but also able to work well in a group
  • Comfortable with virtual communication
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to solve problems and encourage others in collaborative problem solving
  • Work ethic that is focused, accurate, and highly productive
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient with computers and navigation of multiple computer based resources
  • 3+ years' experience in a high volume community or mail order pharmacy practice environment
