Job Purpose:

This position is primarily responsible for providing financial and target analysis, financial impact of solutions, and consultation to sales teams that support existing and prospective customers including credit unions and various channel partners (for example, Insurance Agencies, Fin-techs, and so forth). This involves working closely with the single point of contact role to build strategic relationships with customers to conduct financial and target analysis and provide insights with financial trends based on key Financial Ratios. This role also requires making presentations to both existing and prospective customers as needed.

Job Responsibilities:
 

  • Analyze, understand, and demonstrate to the sales staff - for ultimate delivery to the strategic and key/large credit union accounts and/or channel partners - the direct financial impact of CUNA Mutual Group products and services on their financial goals.
  • Provide consulting to the sales process, which includes targeting high-gain potential customers, reviewing historical and future financial performance, positioning with executive management teams, bringing the appropriate insights and provocative questions, discovery and needs analysis, creation and delivery of high-quality presentations, and follow-up work. Utilize all available tools to carry out this function along with developing and/or assisting others to develop appropriate tools/models as may be required from time to time.
  • Work collaboratively with Underwriting, Product, Sales Planning, and sales account teams (B2B, Fin-tech, Agency).
  • Build and develop relationships with customers’ senior management staffs in in conjunction with the sales account teams.
  • Participate in the strategic review process in key/large accounts. Understand and interpret potential customers’ strategic and business plans; match CUNA Mutual products and services which will enhance the financial success of the customer.
  • Develop high quality education, training, and seminars related to financial analysis and management education that are delivery-ready for conferences both within and outside the credit union space.
  • Participate in projects and assignments to facilitate product developments, regulatory and other industry research, developing and fostering relationships with third party strategic partners.

    Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent trade-off in professional work experience. MBA or CPA designation is preferred.
  • 7 years’ work experience in financial services industry. 
  • Demonstrated strong financial/business acumen and industry intelligence. 
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of financial management concepts, financial regulatory trends, economic principles, and their related impact on financial institutions
  • Demonstrated success operating within a performance based, matrix management structure, influencing and persuading others to produce results without direct reporting relationships. 
  • Strong consulting, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • Experience working directly with financial institutions and Fin-tech organizations are highly desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

    Base Salary Range:

    $91,700.00 - $137,600.00
