Job Description

An employer is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to work in either Charlotte, NC (preferred) or Remotely. This Manager will lead the development team and the business needs across various departments, while still remaining hands on amongst the development team. This person will have a deep understanding of solutions architecture, system design, and mentoring/growing staff. Additionally, this person will partner with the Project Manager and Head of Technology to create a robust demand management solution to best serve internal and external customer needs.

Daily responsibilities will include:

-Own the overall development, deployment, and support for various businesses/departments across the organization

-Define, schedule, and track the overall teams work while also partnering with the project manager

-Implement mature software development practices to improve quality and traceability from requirements to deployment

-Manage a team of at least 3 developers

-Partner closely with business leaders to understand goals/requirements and translate to actionable work items

-Keep systems up to date with the latest technology, maintenance, and scalability for future growth

-Work across the organizations portfolio of businesses to leverage best solutions possible

-Define short-term and long-term technology roadmaps to further harden the overall tech stack for improved uptime and scalability

-Balance time from technical vs. managerial: Writing code, reviews, and updates vs. strategic planning and mentoring

Minimum Requirements

-8+ years experience operating as a .Net platform Developer and/or Lead

-Ability to spend 50% of time toward management and strategy duties and 50% of time toward developing and remaining hands on

-Ability to design and build new features, including E-commerce in .NET, JavaScript, and CSS

-Azure infrastructure management

-Knowledge of Sitecore CMS

-Working with various middleware tools to integrate systems across the enterprise (Data Factory, MuleSoft, TIBCO, or comparable)

-Experience coaching, mentoring, and training staff

Desired Skills

-TIBCO experience

-Experience with Salesforce and similar products

-Experience with Sitecore CMS
