Job Description:

Triage Specialist

The Triage Specialist supports a federal agency by receiving, reviewing, and directing incident reports to the appropriate point of contact. The Triage Specialist works as part of a small team of federal and contract staff to ensure inbox coverage 365 days a year, including weekends and holidays.

Essential duties include:

  • Monitor a shared incident response inbox in collaboration with other team members to ensure timely response and incident elevation.

  • Analyze each incoming incident in accordance with federal policies to ensure incidents are documented correctly and routed to the appropriate point of contact.

  • Provide technical assistance in situations where incident reports need to be corrected and/or resubmitted in accordance with policy.

  • Create shift reports and complete other activities necessary to prepare team members to take over inbox coverage.

  • Catalog and file incidents in keeping with policies and standard operating procedures.

  • Maintain a tracking system for reported incidents and perform quality assurance to ensure data accuracy.

  • Perform data analysis to identify trends in incident reporting.

  • Provide reports on inbox activity on regular and as-needed bases.

  • Other duties as assigned.

This position requires a Public Trust clearance.

This position is 100% remote.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in a relevant field.

  • 4+ years of related experience.

  • Experience in case management, child welfare, or social work required.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and to collaborate with team members in a remote environment.

  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Excel and performing basic data analysis preferred.

  • Ability to work some weekends and holidays.

The likely salary range for this position is $70,125 - $94,875. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
