Role

The Director, Americas (AMER) Regional Marketing, reporting to the Sr. Director, AMER Marketing, is responsible for managing and developing the team of regional and partner marketers, collaborating closely with AMER Sales to drive rich engagement throughout the funnel. We are seeking a collaborative thinker who will will serve as liaison for Marketing and Sales partners and execute marketing programs that drive net new and expansion pipeline, alignment and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Field and Partner marketing program execution aligned to AMER Marketing strategy and priorities
  • Own regional activation of field event portfolio for Splunk across AMER, working closely with Global Events Marketing
  • Partner with marketing ecosystem to amplify and maximize the broad programs (digital, social, campaigns, customer, partner marketing, marketing operations, AR, PR, brand, etc) across the region
  • Own strategy and execution for integrated Partner Marketing programs across the region
  • Manage distribution of regional/partner marketing budget in alignment with AMER Marketing strategy/priorities, ensuring quarterly budgets are used in quarter and maximized for demand generation and results
  • As member of AMER Marketing leadership team, work closely and align with all Marketing functions (corporate marketing, product marketing, Global Events Marketing, Marketing Operations) to build integrated plans across regional activities
  • Communicate information/feedback from the field teams to other marketing functions
  • Partner with AMER Digital Sales team to drive success in all levels of AMER Plan of Record. Ownership to MQL with alignment on SQL/SAL/Pipeline
  • Manage and develop the AMER team of regional field and partner marketers to drive in-role and future career goals.
  • Represent AMER marketing programs and needs with different stakeholders and supporting functions:

  • Sales
  • Integrated Marketing
  • Global Marketing Operations (theatre ops, global demand center, DG ops, Audience Management)
  • Global Event Marketing
  • Extended marketing leadership team
  • Requirements

  • 10+ years of enterprise Field/Regional Marketing experience in related industry.
  • Experience and thorough knowledge of Partner Marketing through MDF programs with enterprise partners (Reseller/Disti, MSP, SI).
  • Experienced and compassionate people manager 
  • Track record of delivering marketing results with a strong analytical mindset
  • Confidence and ability to communicate up, down and across organization
  • Adaptability to support changing priorities and communicate them to your team
  • Extensive relevant experience in marketing enterprise software; IT-specific software a plus; BI or SaaS experience a plus.
  • Strong market knowledge
  • A data-driven approach to planning and execution
  • Well versed within the different tactics used in the region to reach and attract our target audience
  • Deep experience working with Salesforce and Tableau (or equivalent tools) to execute integrated demand generation programs and measure their effectiveness
  • Have end-to-end, hands-on approach to marketing activities and programs
  • Budget management experience
  • Exceptional team player who has partnered successfully with sales and marketing teams
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
