Director, Content Marketing, Oracle Construction and Engineering 

Join an exciting team where you’ll be creating innovative content around advanced technologies in project management in the construction, public infrastructure, utilities, building owners, and asset-intensive industries. As a critical member of the industry marketing team, you will collaborate with sales, product marketing, and product management stakeholders to drive the right strategy, messaging, and execution. Key activities include message creation and storytelling by theme, industry, solution process, and persona. Development of ongoing research into key industry trends, customer success, social media, digital marketing, influencer marketing, presentation development, newsletters, product launches.

Position Description

We are looking for a marketing team leader responsible for external content marketing strategy and content channel management, supporting Oracle Construction and Engineering thought leadership and demand generation programs.

You will help us tell our story across multiple content platforms. You will drive our external content marketing strategy and create compelling thought leadership and demand generation content to fuel our pipeline generation efforts, including but not limited to customer case studies, bylined articles, blog postings, survey reports, videos, product tours, infographics, e-books. You will also help develop an internal marketing communications plan to amplify our external marketing efforts within the Construction and Engineering sales team.

Our ideal candidate will be an experienced team leader with solid storytelling and messaging skills and an expert in content marketing best practices and developing compelling offers for integrated campaigns. You will drive awareness of thought and innovation leadership in the Construction and Engineering industries while creating robust offers for demand generation. Knowledge of the construction industry and PMP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a seasoned team of content marketing managers responsible for developing content for blogs, bylined articles, press, website, social media, and public relations.
  • Develop and champion a clear strategic narrative, brand strategy, and voice to ensure Oracle is seen as a leader in the Construction and Engineering industries.
  • Conduct regular interviews with Oracle Construction and Engineering business and strategy leaders to develop content aligned to evolving strategic objectives
  • Work closely with global and regional campaigns team, Corporate PR, digital marketing team, web team, product marketing, industry marketing, Oracle corporate Pillars and Oracle Branding and creative to develop multichannel thought leadership content, bylined articles, blogs, digital marketing offers, and customer case studies for awareness and demand generation campaigns.
  • Drive cross-channel content strategy, planning, and development. Develop processes to curate and track content, including bill of materials.
  • Create customer success content across channels (blog, video, webinars, case studies, etc.) and assist with customer recruiting for events.
  • Manage Oracle Construction and Engineering’s global PR program in collaboration with Oracle’s corporate PR team.
  • Drive content excellence and marketing best practices.
  • Develop an internal marketing communications program such as newsletters, campaign bulletins, Slack posting, Champions social media amplification program.
  • We’re seeking an exceptional storyteller with a keen understanding of crafting and evolving narratives to develop and drive an innovative and compelling content strategy aligned to the buyer’s journey.

    Required Qualifications

  • Marketing experience in the b2b IT industry market, along with construction industry domain knowledge.
  • Understanding of project management and capital asset lifecycle management Cloud solutions a plus.
  • 10-15 years of marketing experience with 5-7 marketing team management
  • BA/BSc required
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, marketing experience with excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables with simultaneous deadlines in various time zones in a fast-paced environment
  • Skilled and experienced in developing and amplifying a strategic narrative.
  • Thorough understanding of business-to-business marketing methodologies, modern marketing methods, and the content management value chain
  • Must bring passion and energy to the position – true brand champion.
  • Demonstrated management and team leadership ability
  • Strong collaboration capabilities with the ability to manage cross-functional partnerships with global marketing teams
  • Experience working with virtual teams and customers to evangelize their stories
