The IT Security Analyst, under the direction of the CIO and Network Manager, is responsible for a variety of security support duties including, but not limited to: security audits, reporting, network analysis, implementation of protocol and policy, incident reporting and posture analysis.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Serves as primary point of contact for security related incidents
  • Analyze security event data from customer computing platforms, network elements, and security devices
  • Input customer data, perform system/network inventory, configuration management, operational ticket submission, request tracking, and problem resolution
  • Assists with attendance compliance monitoring and enforcement.
  • Generate and maintain operational process and training documentation
  • Perform other related tasks, duties and responsibilities as required, assigned or directed.

 

Skills:

  • Advanced computer and network skills, including relevant training in System Administration, Networking and/or security. 
  • Ability to demonstrate a foundational knowledge of IP networking, routing and switching, System administration, and IT Security.
  • Sensitivity to cultural diversity and ability to communicate and interact effectively with people of all ages and diverse background
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and must be able to prioritize the required workload.
  • Proven ability to work effectively as a team player; highly motivated, focused and results oriented
  • Ability to exercise discretion and tact in all interpersonal contacts, and to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks according to required deadlines and maintain composure under high stress conditions
  • Ability to be optimistic, positive and supportive in all interactions with others
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
     

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education:  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience:  Two (2) years prior experience in a security analyst role.
  • Certifications, Licenses, etc .: None, but CompTIA Security+ or other relevant certification desired
