As a communications representative within Building Construction Products Division (BCP), you would provide communications consultation and support on a variety of assignments to support division and enterprise goals. The position manages the completion of its own work assignments and coordinates work with others. Impacts key quality goals including Customer Satisfaction, Continuous Improvement, Timeliness, Accuracy, Efficiency, Cost Savings, Process Quality, etc.

Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Owning the content and channel strategy for our office employee population; Channels could include, but are not limited to, the division website, newsletters, digital signs, Yammer and other Office 365 tools
  • Managing communications plans for a variety of local and global initiatives and managing several non-repeating projects through completion.
  • Developing and delivering innovative processes to maximize resources and technology in order to deliver quality work.
  • Managing completion of its own work assignments and coordinating work with others
  • Providing communications support and consultation as needed to leaders and subject matter experts (presentation materials, talking points, video scripts, etc.)
  • Basic qualifications:

  • This position requires a college or university degree with a focus on communications, marketing, journalism or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of job-related experience is required, preferably in communications or a related field
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to listen, learn and develop clear, concise and accurate messages for a variety of diverse audiences
  • Top candidates will also have:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong relationships
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong project management skills and organization, with the ability to prioritize projects and requests and meet established deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Experience with visual communications such as graphic design and video editing

  • The location for this position is the Cary, NC area
  • Remote work within the US will be given consideration for this position
  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Any relocation costs incurred would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
  • This position may require up to 5% travel
