Summary: Serves as financial analyst for Business Unit Controller(s) and AssociateDirector(s) Finance. Prepares, reconciles, analyzes and reports BusinessUnit(s) revenue, contracts, projects, and associated metrics. Producesfinancial and other business analyses, interpretation, and investigation ofdata for operations for assigned projects and contracts. Ensures all reportingactivities are accurate and prepared within established timelines.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:1. Supports Business Unit Finance Manager in: Reviewproject level revenue on a monthly basis;Draftsproject level actual versus budget/forecast variance analysis monthly as wellas monthly reports for distribution in analyzing monthly results;Reconcilebusiness unit revenue against monthly forecast for the BUReviewsmonthly forecasting of financial results (backlog);Meetsestablished deadlines for Revenue and Backlog submissions;Reviews,with assistance, executed Work Orders and Change Orders for bonus or otheranomalies;Performdetailed analysis of BU expenses to provide adequate explanations for variancesfrom forecast and budget;Developand improve upon budgeting and forecasting models;EnsureSOX compliance for monthly controls;Performvarious ad-hoc analyses related to customer reconciliations, laborexpenditures, project hours analyses versus budget, low margin review, auditrequests, etc.2. Works closely with Business Unit Controller and Finance Manager to: Captures,assesses and consolidates results;Draftskey reports such as monthly expense analysis, monthly utilization, headcount,revenue backlog analysis, and/or gross profit for assigned area;Developexecutive summary with key metrics for the month3. Attends project meetings as applicable to support assigned areas. Attendsproject kick-off meetings to capture and process relevant data for set up ofnewly awarded projects onto financial systems and schedules. Attends monthlyproject review (MPRs) meetings to ensure understanding/concurrence of projectstatus, potential issues and the accuracy of the forecast. 4. Monitors the overall health of assigned projects including but not limitedto revenues, gross profit, receivables, and unbilled amounts as well as projectclose outs and reconciliations.Job Skills and Qualifications:BA/BSdegree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent education andexperience;Pharmaceuticalor CRO experience preferred;StrongEnglish proficiency;Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is essential.Experiencewith Oracle Finance is preferred;Exceptionalattention to detail, accuracy, organizational, interpersonal, and teamworkskills;Excellentfinancial, communication, and interpersonal skills as well as a high level of personalmotivation to achieve;Demonstratedability to work with confidential and sensitive data;Abilityto perform several tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines is necessary.#LI-JC2
