Environmental Attributes Market AnalystRemote or U.S.- based flexible locationPosition is 100% remote until further notice Our Environmental Attributes Market Analyst role will be analyzing renewable and low carbon fuel markets, specifically the California Low Carbon Fuel Standard, US Renewable Fuels Standard, and other emerging low carbon fuel markets in the US and internationally as well as advising on renewable natural gas, sustainable aviation fuel, and other low carbon fuel markets. To support our growth, we seek a Environmental Attributes Market Analyst to work in our Technical Advisory line of business. The consultant will contribute to the development of innovative, accurate, timely, and high-quality products and services, typically working on multiple projects with all levels of staff. Analysts at ICF have an opportunity to apply their experience and academic knowledge, gain exposure to major projects, and interact with experts and clients in the field, while building content knowledge and consulting skills. Analysts advance in our consulting practice and develop an area of special competence, with increasing responsibility for project management and client contact.Key Responsibilities: Perform advanced quantitative and economic analysis of low carbon fuel markets globally, but with a focus on the west coast of North America, to assess and forecast the future of low carbon fuels markets, environmental attributes (LCFS/RIN) prices, renewable natural gas and liquid biofuel plant operation and valuation, low carbon fuel supply (RNG, Ethanol Renewable Diesel, SAF, Hydrogen), transportation (road, rail, pipeline), regulatory effects, among other parameters.Build supply curves for various types of Renewable Natural Gas, Power to Gas, Ethanol, Biodiesel, Renewable Diesel, and other low carbon fuelsMarket research into existing producers, policy and regulatory changes being contemplated, and future costs internally and externallyCollaborate with and direct junior staff on market research and modelingInterface with clients on key deliverablesBasic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a related disciplines and 2+ years of relevant energy industry experience or Master's degree.Ability to demonstrated quantitative skillsMicrosoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)Preferred Skills/Experience: Advanced degree in economics, environmental policy, mathematics, operations research or engineeringLow carbon fuel market experienceKnowledge of linear optimization and production cost modeling is an advantageExperience programming in R, Python, Matlab, or VBAPrevious consulting experienceStrong modeling skillsProfessional Skills:Understands task expectations and how tasks fit in the overall project.Works collaboratively with project team and client to achieve established goals.Organizes written work in a manner that is clear, easy to follow, and tailored for the intended audience.ICF offers an excellent benefits package, an award-winning talent development program, and fosters a highly skilled, energized, and empowered workforce.ICF is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity at all levels.
