The Role

As a Senior Lead Enterprise Data Architect, you will be responsible for developing and communicating transformational data architecture plans, and driving the plans to fruition in collaboration with business and IT owners, architecture colleagues, and the development teams.

You will define and enforce data architecture standards, procedures and policies to ensure alignment with the transformation strategy and consistency across different program and project implementations. You will also guide application development teams in the data design of complex solutions and ensure that teams are in alignment with the data architecture principles, standards, strategies, and target states.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Contribute insight, guidance, and direction on the usage of emerging trends and technical capabilities.
  • Create, maintain, and govern architectural views and blueprints depicting the Business and IT landscape in its current, transitional, and future state.
  • Define and maintain standards for artifacts containing architectural content within the operating model.
  • Apply business domain expertise to assigned programs and areas of specialty.
  • What We Look For in a Candidate

  • 6+ years working in data architecture; 2+ years with event-based, big data and non-traditional architectures.
  • Ability to build and manage enterprise data and object models, leveraging both industry and application specific service models.
  • Experience with large broadly scoped Data Architecture programs.
  • Responsible for creating design patterns and best practices for data engineering and the integration of data through the enterprise.
  • Experience with unstructured or semi-structured data design and implementation.
  • Experience with data catalogs, profiling tools and processes.
  • Experience with modern event-based data architecture, streaming analytics, Kafka, etc.
  • Familiar with training and deployment of AI Machine Learning models and automation
  • Experience with data technologies such as Spark & Databricks.
  • Experience developing enterprise data assets using a variety of traditional and modern data movement and storage technologies. Graph, document and/or cloud data warehouse experience desired.
  • Experienced with API architectures; web services, ESB, managed API, Apigee.
  • Ability to lead software evaluations including RFP development, capabilities assessment, formal scoring models, and delivery of executive presentations supporting a final recommendation.
  • Ability to evaluate and assess existing legacy data assets. Create as-is and to-be architecture artifacts.
  • Well versed in the Data domains (Data Warehousing, Analytics, BI, Big Data, Operational Data Store, Metadata, Master Data, Unstructured Data, ETL, ESB)
  • Experience in architecture governance, controls, and peer reviews with regards to data, security, and cloud
  • At least 12 years of experience in information technology.
