As an Area Sales and Marketing Partnerships Specialist at Tanger Outlets, you will be responsible for income generation through the sale of property and media assets and for the full sales cycle of selling advertising assets of assigned centers to direct and agency representation of your assigned region with a target revenue goal per location. This position is responsible for our properties located in Myrtle Beach, Charleston, and Hilton Head, South Carolina along with our property in Savannah, Georgia.

  • How can you contribute to what we do?

  • Act as the primary Business Development representative for your assigned centers, accountable for prospecting, canvassing, and closing media, sponsorship, and non-transactional revenue deals consistent with annual revenue goals as established by the Regional Manager, Marketing Partnerships.
  • Work cohesively with each center management team to identify, create, and sell revenue opportunities through strategic positioning of mall assets and programming in order to achieve the financial and personal sales goals of each property.
  • Flawlessly execute all national, regional, and local Marketing Partnership programs.
  • Monitor and maintain budget, with ownership fluency in variances to adjust plan and budget in response to real time business climate. Complete monthly financial forecasts managing real time revenue and expense positions, providing frequent updates to General Managers and Regional Managers.
  • Manage the local sales process from beginning to end, including establishing a pipeline, refining sales targets and pitches, and cultivating relationships with brand‐appropriate partners in pursuit of center deals.
  • Effectively communicate the benefit of Tanger Outlets and offer marketing and advertising solutions to clients.
  • Develop positive working relationships with area brands and media buyers. Establish active involvement in area organizations that would benefit center’s revenue objectives.

  • Being a strategic thinker that can execute and drive business results.
  • The ability to analyze the impact of sponsors, partnerships and/or media involvement for center promotions.
  • An ability to speak effectively in English before groups such as customers, retailers, employees with the ability to read, write and comprehend the English language.
  • An ability to multi‐task in a high‐volume setting while working independently and fully executing assigned projects.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent with three (3) to five (5) years successful track record in a B2B sales environment required. Experience in sales, sponsorship, strategic marketing, event management, and budgeting in a sales environment is also required.
  • A bachelor’s degree with a focus in Sales, Marketing, or Business is preferred.
  • Significant (up to 50%) regional travel is required. Candidate must reside within 30 miles of one of the centers in the assigned market.
