Job Description U.S. Bank is seeking an effective IT Production Support Specialist with operations support and relationship management experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. Performs liaison role between operations, technical/development teams, and business line resources. Maintains support documentation and standard operating procedures, project participation, and operational readiness. Serves as a resource to aid Network Operations Center analysts and their management with issue escalation and resolution. Proactively identifies and communicates to operations regarding projects that could potentially impact the mainframe, network, and distributed systems environments. Represents Network Operations Center analysts and management interests at meetings for implementation, release walk-through, production readiness, and change review. Increases awareness and promotes organizational brand and services. Organizes and translates information into clear written support documentation. Gathers, publishes, and manages standards and procedures. Provides infrastructure support and administration of tools for our customers and management for system support information, documentation, and turnover recording. Strives for process improvements which improve the accuracy, level of service, timeliness, and workload of operators. We are looking for an IT Production Support Specialist 2, whom has extensive experience in mainframe technologies with emphasis on Content Manager OnDemand IBM product, Advanced Function Printing (AFP), and CA-View Brodcom products. This position will be responsible for administration duties including but not limited to performing maintenance and support to Mainframe Infrastructure and Development Teams. This position will also be responsible for coordinating with developers, vendors, and user to fulfill requests, team responsibilities, review and make recommendation improvements and or automation opportunities, and training to associated team members. He/she will implement DevOps and Agile methodology regarding team functionality and projects. Additional responsibilities include:
  • Advance Knowledge of Content Manager OnDemand products and CA-View/CA-Deliver products
  • Working Knowledge of Navigator, GUI interface into CMOD
  • Execution of product utilities and started task support
  • Reviews and makes recommendations for implanting user requirements and automation opportunities
  • Develop technical solutions that require collaboration with internal experts, deep analysis and understanding of impact on end-product solutions.
  • Opportunity to work remotely (home) if requirements are met
  • Disaster Recovery Exercise Rotation and EBRP participation required, quarterly
  • Monitor's system performance and check lists
  • Creates and maintains department documentation
  • Assist the level-2 team with validation of environmental and software changes
  • Required Primary and Secondary on-call rotation 24/7 required
  • Strong Database skills DB2 and or Oracle preferred
  • Strong Knowledge in CMOD tool configurations, various file formats, indexing methodologies etc.
  • Create, update, resolve all incidents via the corporate Incident Management Tool (ServiceNow) and take the corrective action as defined in operating procedures.
  • Develops and reviews Knowledge Management documentation for accuracy, may participate in training peers on all operational functions with the direction of supervision
  • Ability to communicate problems in a clear, concise, and technical manner, to follow through on detail, analyze and solve operating problems and be sufficiently flexible and resourceful to perform in sometimes stressful situation
  • Strong Knowledge External Security – RACF class resource rules
  • Strong knowledge with ERO table controls
  • Strong knowledge of JOB translation table controls
  • Interact with users, vendors, and developers and or business applications
  • Manage projects resources and time based on the statement of work
  • Review File systems created in CMOD
  • Coordinating with Application Developers and Application teams regarding standard requirements of Content Manager OnDemand, AFP and CA-View/Deliver Products
  • Makes recommendations regarding enhancements and improvements for day-to-day processes
  • Performs testing for business applications groups
Basic Qualifications -Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience -At least 5 years' experience with a data center operating environment with Mainframe day-to-day operational requirements, and the operation of production systems and equipment. Preferred Skills/Experience - Advance understanding in: -Content Manager On-Demand, CA-View and CA-Deliver Products. - Mainframe Archival and Retrieval process -Elixir product: Advanced Function Printing (AFP) product - Strong interpersonal and communication skills -Strong problem-solving and analytical skills -IT systems management: Mainframe infrastructure -Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Access -Strong Automation process skills within the mainframe - Working knowledge with Cloud -Servers: SQL, Linux, and Windows -Working knowledge with Control M -Strong knowledge in SAS or REXX -Strong Knowledge of JCL, JES, CICS, TSO, VTAM, SDSF, ISPF -ServiceNow -RACF Experience - Working experience in computer operations
