General Position Information:

The Senior Architet has overall responsibility for thearchitecture and design of solutions that encompass multiple enterprise andstrategic applications and technologies across multiple departments. They areresponsible for evaluating the requirements of a business or IT ask and botharchitecting an IT solution or perform vendor evaluations to determine if anexternal product can support the business ask or need. The Senior Architect canalso be responsible for developing a level of effort (LOE) to support any projectrequest that they might get. Solutionsmay cover a broad spectrum of the business (i.e. laboratory, billing,logistics, patient services, finance, legal, etc.) and applications/technologies regardless of the architect’s primary area of expertise. The architect is responsible for the creationand presentation of a number of artifacts including, but not limited toarchitecture overview documents, solution sketches, data models, integrationpatterns, LOE estimates, vendor evaluation scorecards, design/code reviewreports etc. He/she is furtherresponsible for leading other application architects, application developers& non-technical team members and provide design oversight and guidance atvarying levels during project execution. Finally, the Architect-II is charged with collaborating with the otherarchitecture functions (such as Enterprise Architecture and Infrastructurearchitecture) in the developing of various IT strategies and ensuring that thesolutions that they lead are in support of strategic goals for the company –both business and IT.

Specific PositionInformation:

This specific position will focus on our healthcareecommerce platform with heavy emphasis on both architecture/development withinthat space and integration with our core systems.
The candidate will coordinate and guide the creation of amodern Enterprise Ecommerce Architecture that optimally supports our digitaltransformation journey. This will require a significant focus on building andintegrating with our ecommerce architecture foundations with an emphasis onscaling to drive growth, flexibility, ease of use, etc. Candidate is expectedto work collaboratively with teams of Architects, Product Managers, EnterpriseApplication Team, Digital Ops and Sales/Marketing teams and define thestrategy, roadmap and implementation of eCommerce front and back end technologystack.

Duties and Responsibilities:

-Propose the design, creation, and ongoing development of a modern foundational architecture for our cloud commerce and integration platform.

-Review, evaluate and recommend off the shelf products and platforms to speed up development timelines and speed to market.

-Collaborate across the organization (e.g Marketing, Product, IT teams) on major project technical designs

-Lead and drive eCommerce, Marketplace, modern Cloud architectures, internal and 3rd party integrations, extensibility, market distribution, and distributed systems.

-Develop and incorporate headless architectures like Single Page Applications (SPA) and Progressive Web Applications (PWA) and Microservices-based architecture solutions.

-Actively engage with infrastructure hosting and information security teams to lead and mitigate cyber risks.

-Develop, document and presents solutions to members of multiple architecture, development and infrastructure teams for purposes of solution development and or the gathering/refining of estimates

-Organizes and leads cross-functional discussions within the IT and business organizations in support of solution development

-Works with vendors to better understand how features and interfaces of outside applications can facilitate the fulfillment of customer requests

Education Preferred:

-BSdegree in Computer Science, MIS, or related technical field.

Work Experience:

-10+ years of demonstrated IT design and/or architecture experience

-10+ years’ experience working in large-scale, heterogeneous IT environments

-4+ years working in eCommerce space

-3+ years’ experience with CICD, AWS services, Microservices, Kubernetes, API first approach, Cloud native and headless ecommerce architectures

-3+ years integrating eCommerce platforms with enterprise systems

-3+ years working in Healthcare space (strongly preferred)

-Experience with commerce tools, CMS Tools and REST APIs, SOA preferable

-Hands on experience with FE frameworks (Angular, React, etc)

-Experience in design and architecture view of Mulesoft Anypoint API Platform

-Extensiveexperience designing, developing and deploying restful APIs and microservices in cloud

-Broad knowledge of web standards relating to APIs (OAuth, SSL, CORS, JWT, etc.)

-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and TEAMS

Other:

-Has deep technical expertise in one or more technology domains

-Demonstrated in depth understanding of multiple enterprise level and strategic applications supporting the multiple business functions (Lab, Commercial, Sales, Marketing etc.)

-Demonstrated ability to influence with credibility across business functions or technologies with analysis (based on prior experience).

-Demonstrated ability to represent IT in senior management level discussions and with third parties.

-Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, oral/presentation and written communication skills in both technical and non-technical language.

-Strong leadership, project and team building skills – ability to lead teams and drive projects and initiatives by working effectively with others with a demonstrated ability to work cross-departmentally.

-Demonstrated ability to deliver under tight timelines with minimal oversight and input.
