About The Role
As a Sales Development Manager in Soracom you will play an important role in the next phase of our growth by evolving the existing sales processes through process and technology, working with other sales team members (Account Executive/Territory Manager) and our marketing team to achieve a high level of continuous demand and pipeline generation.
Day-to-day you are responsible for three main areas. First, to qualify and route all inbound leads to the proper sales team member. Second, to execute every aspect of outbound campaigns (audience building, campaign messaging, execution through various mediums, and facilitating initial meetings). Third, to nurture small-sized prospects/customers as they grow to qualify as a managed sales account.
In the future, You will be responsible for hiring , training, and coaching a team of sales development representatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Qualifying inbound or outbound leads, creating opportunities and next steps for Account Executives.
- Create a positive first impression with our prospects and customers by providing a world class experience.
- Establish, develop and continuously update the sales process to generate new pipelines and opportunities as efficiently and scalably as possible.
- Proactively use tools to manage sales processes, lead management, outbound campaigns, opportunity trends and set standards for performance metrics.
- Analyze the territory/market's potential, track sales, and status reports
- Own and execute outbound campaigns (phone & email) collaborating with other sales teams and marketing teams to attain pipeline targets.
- Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
- Present, promote, and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
- Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
- Work with you colleagues to expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
- Regularly present reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
- Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
Requirements
Key Requirements
- 3+ years proven work experiences as a Sales Development Manager or Business Development Manager with leading a team for SaaS or hardware products in the IoT & telecommunications space to similar industry
- 5+ years of solid sales experience in a B2B environment
- Proven track record of high performance in a pipeline generation as an individual contributor and as a team leader
- Experience implementing sales development tools with having a strong knowledge of best practices using those tools (Salesforce, Outreach, LeadIQ etc..)
- Expert in designing and implementing outbound B2B campaigns with over 10,000 contacts
- Strong understanding of Salesforce, Outreach, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Passionate about technology with high acumen for fully engaging in technical conversations
- Strong video conference presence and experience engaging in dozens of meetings per day
- Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools
- Highly motivated and target-driven with a proven track record in sales
- Excellent selling, negotiation, and communication skills
- Prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
- Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
- Previous experience working in a technology startup like environment for over 12 months
Preferred Requirements
- BSc degree in Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field experience
- Salesforce Administrator Certificate
- Experience working in IoT ecosystem
- Working exposure with Japanese culture
