They will assist in leading interior environmental & foodservice design on all assigned projects, including but not limited to experiential design, inclusive design, interior space planning / furniture strategies, client presentation, and design impact data gathering. This position will report to the Director of Design with the Envision Transformation team and works closely with the Envision Group team and its Strategic design partners. Come join a team where we strive to bring experiential, innovative, and future state foodservice concepts and models to life.RESPONSIBILITIES• Help lead spatial design projects that include programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, collaborative space planning and construction documentation• Strong ideation skills are necessary as the candidate will be required to assist in developing and leading design charrettes• Collaborate with other lead professionals to ensure design and documentation are in accordance with project expectations, spec, and Compass Standards.• Assist in developing ongoing design measurement process (surveys, focus groups, etc.), tied into refinement and improvement of design & execution strategy• Formulate design presentation strategies and execute client presentations while successfully building long lasting client relationships• Manage, analyze and communicate design information, case studies, & innovations that build business performance for the enterprise• Lead and direct the work of other designers and external partners• Effective problem solving and interpersonal skills and ability to interface with all clients and employees• Experience in specialty retail categories such as food service, restaurant, pop-up and experiential design preferred• Advanced graphic and verbal presentation skills, including hand sketching and 3D renderingPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • BA/BS Degree required in Architecture, Interior Design, or other Design Related field.• A minimum of 5 years of related design experience, including restaurant design, hospitality design, & brand development. • Knowledge of Architectural & Design Process along with building codes, zoning, jurisdictional processes, building materials, specifications, and construction techniques.• Knowledge of Interior Design Fixtures, Innovative Materials, Custom Millwork Fabrication, Equipment manufacturing & distribution, and general FF knowledge base.• Great working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel and PPT essential with proficieny in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp and other 3D modeling software.• Project Management software experience required. • Demonstrated experience working under pressure and managing multiple tasks, projects, and teams to exceed sector and client expectations.• High level Writing and Presentation skills.• High level communication skill, technical skill, and creative skill.• Capable of traveling 20% - 30% of the time to meet with clients and operators.• WELL & LEED accreditation & NCIDQ plus but not requiredApply to Compass Group today!Click here to Learn More about the Compass Story () Compass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
