An opportunity has arisen for a Business Development and Sales Manager to join a leader in the design and manufacture of specialised industrial digital x-ray systems, Shawcor Inspection Systems (SIS), a specialist division of Shawcor. The Systems business utilises its dedicated R&D capabilities to address extensive and diverse applications in a wide range of industries including aeronautical, space, ordnance/military, nuclear, materials and oil and gas.

Along with a salary of up to £65,000 per annum (DOE), you will also receive an annual performance bonus, car allowance, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, private medical and dental cover, health and life insurance, cycle to work scheme, shopping discounts and global progression opportunities.

The overall responsibility of this Business Development and Sales Manager role is to secure sales of industrial non-destructive testing (NDT) solutions to increase the financial performance and profitability of the Inspection Systems business. This will be achieved by both developing relationships with existing customers and securing new business within new sectors/industries/countries.

At Shawcor, we are looking for a Business Development and Sales Manager who has the following skills and experiences:

* Educated to degree level in a technical subject.

* Experience of NDT is preferable but not essential.

* Experience of bespoke, high value engineering design and manufacture.

* Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to translate customer requirements into detailed written specifications.

* Strong commercial and financial acumen.

* Ability to participate as a senior member of the management team, helping to develop a culture of continuous improvement.

* Tenacity and self-determination.

Our main office is in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk and it is expected that the successful candidate will spend time attending the office to maintain relationships and business knowledge. A proportion of time will be spent visiting customers who are spread across the South West & Midlands. We are happy to offer candidates the opportunity of working from home for any remaining time, hence we are flexible on a candidate's physical location in the country - all we require is someone with a full UK driving licence who is prepared to travel to suit demands.
