    Primary Responsibilities:

  • Writing SAS programs to clean, harmonize, and link raw data to create analysis datasets
  • Collaborate with evaluation leads and substantive experts to propose and create measures appropriate for analysis
  • Create detailed data documentation: definitions and processing steps that may be used by other data analysts
  • Provide mentorship and critical feedback to early career quantitative staff
  • Craft clear write-ups in support of data activities that can be readily understood by both technical and non-technical audiences, including client-facing communications
  • Independently investigate data issues and collaborate with senior project managers on solutions
  • You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

    Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years with an advanced degree or 6+ years post undergraduate degree
  • Experience using SAS (including macro processing, iterative processing, and Proc SQL) and/or STATA in a research, consulting, or business environment
  • Experience consulting with project teams and mentoring staff on how to apply coding techniques to build dataset, qualitative checks, and interpret analysis
  • Ability to independently work on multiple types of internal and external analytic systems under a variety of operating systems
  • Demonstrated capabilities in managing project tasks
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working on CCW and IDR
  • Experience working with healthcare claims and enrollment data and familiarity with healthcare data/payment concepts such as: Claims data structure and contents (e.g., claim-level vs. claim line level, revenue center codes, procedure codes, diagnosis-related groups)
  • Experience effectively working on teams
  • Knowledge of claims processing concepts (e.g., final action, maturity) and setting (e.g., Part A, Part B, inpatient, outpatient, ect.)
  • Knowledge of payment concepts such as allowed amount vs. paid amount, deductible/coinsurance
  • Ability to work with large data and improve processing efficiency
  • Ability and willingness to disseminate technical expertise and supervisory/staff development skills

    Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $94,500 to $171,700. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $94,500 to $171,700.
