A leading Messaging Software company is hiring a Staff/Principal Software Java Engineer. This company has over 1 billion new data points per year with over 25k active customers, so there is a high volume of 3rd party API integrations. This team of 4 works on the core backend messaging system, which is currently being redesigned. This role is an even mixture of hands on development, code reviews/team mentorship, architecture/design, and some lite SRE/Production support. You will be an integral part of this team which uses Java 11, Spring Boot, GCP, Rest API, Microservices, moving to serverless, Elastic Search, Kafka, and Docker. They also use MySQL, Bit Query, and are about to implement Kubernetes. Despite being an integral function on the team with heavy knowledge on infrastructure, this role offers excellent benefits with fully covered health insurance, wifi/home office stipends, wellness days, 4 weeks PTO, and up to $175K base, DOE. This is a fully remote role on PST hours, looking for someone who is currently either a Principal, Staff, Architect, or Lead Engineer, not considering current Seniors unless you have exponential Architecture/Design experience.
