Responsibilities for the DRG and Clinical Review Nurse job remote in US:
• Identify discharge planning needs and referrals to case management
• Apply criteria to inpatient admissions and perform concurrent review
• Communicate with providers for outpatient services and discharge planning
• Evaluate clinical information for medical necessity and benefit guidelines Qualifications:
• Current RN License and a coding credential such as AHIMA's RHIA, RHIT, or CCS; or AAPC's CPC, CIC, or COC
• 2+ years of inpatient coding and DRG validation experience in an acute care setting.
• Established work site in their home and provide a high-speed internet connection
