Essential Job Functions

  • Manage the ongoing management of subcategory plans through pipeline development, compliance tracking, and ongoing subcategory planning sessions with the operational stakeholders and budget owners.
  • Lead discussions and provide category expertise and oversight required to manage specialized negotiations for high complexity contracting assignments (Master Service Agreements (MSA), Non Disclosure Agreements (NDA), Amendments, Statements of Work (SOW), and Work Orders (WO)) that require heightened category knowledge.
  • Provide category expertise and oversight required to lead highly specialized RFx projects (Request for Information, Request for Proposals, etc.) that carry higher levels of risk, complexity, and financial opportunity than standard engagements.
  • Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in business, finance, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience Requirements
  • Six years relevant experience in a sourcing, procurement, or purchasing role required, including at least two years with category management responsibilities
  • Special Skill Requirement
  • Financial services industry and category experience is preferred but not required,
  • including subject matter expertise in one or more relevant subcategories.
  • Subcategories to include underwriting and various product teams
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong project management and change management skills
