Social Media Community Intern (Remote)

Here's the truth: The beauty industry is still trying to fit a 14-step beauty routine (and a jade roller) into our 10-minute mornings. We just don't have time for that.

At Alleyoop, we're bringing a major upgrade to beauty & body care products for a new generation of busy women. Forget trying to keep up with the beauty industry- we launched a line of time saving, multi-tasking products to keep up with you. Less time in front of the mirror = more time on what matters most.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We're looking for driven Social Media Community Interns for a 6-month full-time internship (40 hours/week) with a possibility of transitioning into a permanent role at the end of your internship. This is truly a unique opportunity to grow alongside us as we continue to launch new products + join a fun and growing team!

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Help build, grow, and engage our social media accounts by actively engaging with our community of customers, content creators, and influencers.
• Develop a highly engaging brand presence on Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook and more.
• Proactively engaging with our community of content creators on all socials to help deepen and maintain relationships.
• Identify IRL pop culture/newsworthy moments that can be turned into content or community engagement opportunities
• Managing social media giveaways, from identifying exciting partnerships to execution.
• Keeping a pulse on social media trends on TikTok and IG, as well as competitor successes/opportunities.
• Engaging with our community during weekly Facebook LIVES, Instagram LIVES, and other events
• Assisting on weekly reporting.
• Assist in creating new initiatives, systems and processes for overall community management and customer service.

WHO YOU ARE:

• Passionate about social media, brand building and/or all things beauty and skincare!
• Detail-oriented with all things grammar, punctuation, and social media best practices (profile/shopping tags, hashtags, etc.)
• Geek out over incredible moments on social media! We're looking for someone who understands a thumb-stopping social moment and runs to the comments to see what everyone's talking about.
• Has a pulse on pop culture, a witty sense of humor, and can sense when it's time to read the room.
• This is not an am armchair role - we're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to be hands-on in setting the stage for long-term growth and success for Alleyoop
• Previous experience in a marketing internship with a trendy, up and coming CPG/Beauty/Fashion brand is a plus
• Exceptional communication skills
• Hardworking self-starter and independently driven

SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION:

• Full-time M-F (8:30 am - 5:30 pm PT) / 6-month commitment
• At the end of your 6-month internship, you will be considered for a full-time position at the company
• This is an unpaid educational internship with a $1,000 monthly stipend to cover any potential expenses during your internship
